What Wireless Security Camera System?
Hello, a friend of mine bought this Uniden UDW10003 (check link below) a couple of months ago and he has only good things to say about it. Very easy to setup. Clear digital picture. And as my friend says it, it makes you feel much safer. Hope this helped1. what digital camera system should I upgrade to? Professional photographers only? The two main things I consider when looking at a P&S camera that I intend to use creatively, are Optical Zoom(avoids pixelization while using telephoto), and Manual Exposure Control (sometimes the preset capture modes are not quite right for what you need). This particular camera has both. I think it will do you well. Others to consider as well: Nikon D40/D40x -- less mega pixels, however, unless you intend to blow your pictures up to poster sizes, it wo not be an issue. SLR cameras have better image quality, are usually quicker and have the advantage of being able to switch out the lens depending on what your shooting. Also, since they give you the ability to look directly through the lens from the viewfinder, there's no surprises in what your image will look like. Nikon uses the F-mount on all their cameras, so should you upgrade in the future all lenses from 1970 on will fit. Canon EOS Rebel XS -- 10.1 MP, and again, another SLR. Canon uses the EF-mount for all their cameras, so upgrades are no problem. To keep the price down for my camera equipment, I buy used. KEH is a very reputable online shop, (I purchase from them all the time, and have never had an issue) and B&H, and Cameta Camera also have used equipment. Good luck, and happy shooting!2. Which is the best security camera system in the market?Considering that "best" is a relative word (i.e. to each his opinion), I like Sharp and Panasonic. I believe both have free IP broadcasting, which is VERY convenient for me. Thus, I highly recommend network cameras Check the link below3. what do I need to set up a outdoor security camera system?Check out "Radio Shack" and also "Toys R Us" had some security cameras in the game section, You might find one there fairly cheap4. Can a security camera system be viewed remotely using your smartphone?Generally yes. Now Ill use Ring for example as thats common. They have the doorbell one and various ones that also have lights for other areas. Now ring is wireless so you have that part to think about as far as the internet connection. But that aside you can view it on the IOS or Android device along with anything that has a web browser. There are also other options that are wired so you would have to run a wire from them to some router that does wireless with your smart phone on that network. Now if the cameras are indoors there is various legal and privacy issues depending on what the camera is pointed at. Can a security camera system be viewed remotely using your smartphone?5. What are the Pennsylvania Laws on setting up a Home Security Camera/System (possibly hidden) In my back yard?If the system only covers her yard, she can set it up any way she likes. She does have to have a small sign somewhere that says the premises may be subject to electronic monitoring but does not need to specify where and what kind. If the system can view activity into your property she either needs to re-aim the camera or get your permission, IF the part of the property being recorded is not visible from the street (publicly viewable areas have no expectation of privacy).6. What should I look for in a camera system for taking still life photographs?Frankly, any camera with a flash hotshoe, RAW capability, and full Manual mode would probably be a good choice, so you could take better control over the lighting than you can with a small light tent and (probably) continuous lights. Off-camera lighting is liable to do more for this type of shooting than any specific camera/lens combination. You do not need an interchangeable lens camera or a big big sensor to do this type of shooting, and in fact, a small-sensor camera is going to have an edge on macro shooting, because of the deeper DoF produced with the smaller/shorter lenses that pair with smaller sensors.
