The Daily Mail Has Claimed That the Duchess of Sussexu2019s Book Collection Is U201cwokeu201d. Do Yo

You would first need to define "woke". Nowadays, it seems to be a stand in for "politically correct" among the type of person who gets upset if you suggest that being white is an advantage in the real world, or that people who are of other ethnicities or religions are just as valuable as they are, or that a person's contribution to society and civil rights should not be dictated by their place of birth, and so on ,and so on - and then cries and calls *other* people "snowflake"

1. How much does the entire Harry Potter book collection cost?

I got mine for around 130 dollars. It was a boxed set with the original hardcover copies and stickers and stuff inside. It even had carrying straps on the side, for crying out loud! How much does the entire Harry Potter book collection cost?

2. how should i arrange my book collection?

arrange them by the author name..alphabetically or not up to you...the books do not necessarily have to be arranged vertically.do both vertical and horizontal arrangement where u can read the title of your books..u get more space this way..i did this too..i have a bookshelf which is divided into 8 small square compartments and only 2 are actually being used for fiction books. ..so there's not much space. .the books i am 100% sure i will read again is in one compartment and the rest along with some comics are in the other..i did this and i managed to get extra space for my books with just those 2 compartments..and mind u..one compartment is pretty small..oh to do this, it would be a good idea to follow the size too.

3. The Daily Mail has claimed that the Duchess of Sussexu2019s book collection is u201cwokeu201d. Do you agree?

Book collection? I have no idea what her book collection is. The Daily Mail is a paper you would have to pay me a lot of money to even pick up, after I had disinfected my hands of course

4. How big does someone's book collection need to be before you consider it to be a library?

Love some of the answers here, having had to downsize twice, I now have a garage converted into a reading room, not a huge amount of books but they are all sorted into subject type and I have matched the area decor to the type, I have library steps, not the rolling type, which I would dearly love. It's not what I would call a library but the nearest approximation I can make, I should add that I also have magazines etc in the room, so as I say to my mind it is a reading room, rather than a library as there are only about 1000 or so books and no floor to ceiling shelves with a rolling ladder but it makes me happy

5. Is there a good app for tracking my book collection?

If you have Microsoft Office or one of the free programs that mimic Office then create a spreadsheet. I have done this for years. You can create your own column headings to indicate whether you have read the book, whether it is on your wish list, who the author is, character(s)...or whatever information you wish. Then you can sort by any of the fields to keep things grouped the way you wish. Once you have it like you wish you can then upload it to Dropbox or any cloud service so you have it available when you are at the library or favorite bookstore. It is really simple and you can customize it to suit your own needs

6. What is the best way to sell off a comic book collection?

you could sell them one at a time or you could sell them as a lot for a fixed amount for the whole set.or you could break it down into specific heroes and comic companies, also try looking into which comics are the most valuable and sell them individually for a fixed price or do the auction thing ebay or whatever. if you have anything good i may be interested email me and let me know what you have.

7. Calling Fellow Readers: How do you organize your books? That is, if you have a book collection at all?

I used to organize my books in rainbow order, but now I've sold some of my old books and I organize the ones I like from genre. BQ I organize my movie collection by directors last names

How Much Should I Sell My Heavy Metal Comic Book Collection For?
Well, if you are ever in doubt you can always check eBay, Amazon or some other places around the web to get a good idea for prices. You can also take them to your local comic book store and get a better idea, if you have one in your town! Good luck!1. How big does someone's book collection need to be before you consider it to be a library? When we had to move sixty boxes of books into my second-floor apartment, that gave 'library' status to our back room! Getting some blank library cards and keeping track of who's borrowing what also helps to make it seem a little more formal than it is, and helps minimize lost books, too2. By what criteria does the Library of Congress accept a book for their collection?Good question lots of ways abt one half of the collection is non Roman alfabet books arrive via copywright deposits certain American embassies have Loc staff , donations and they buy books. There is a large group Who decides what to keep and what not to keep. The Loc has more than books. Music films maps newspapers microfilm are only a few it boggles the mind when you hear what the Loc has. There is a core collection and then there is usa and British law reading rooms. Also genology Hispanic sub collections each with its own staff just to name a few of the sub collections. Music reading room has books records and original scores in the composers hand. I would have to write a book to tell you what I know and I was an IT person there not a librarian3. X-MEN comic book collection help? Here are a few good issues with what you are looking for: -Uncanny X-Men #150 (Reprinted in X-Men Classic #54): Magneto gives the world an ultimatum to cede total political control of the world to him and disarm their weapons, or face the end of all life on earth. Magneto vs. the World, essentially and one of the most awesome displays (storywise) of vintage Magneto (both the world-conquering megalomaniac and the man of conscience). -Uncanny X-Men #161 (Reprinted in X-Men Classic #65): This details Xavier's first meeting with Magneto in Israel and the beginning (and ending) of their friendship. This is really the only major story that involves the friendship between Xavier and Magneto. -X-Men (Vol. 2, also reprinted in the Mutant Genesis Trade Paperback) #1-3: A pretty awesome storyarc by Chris Claremont and Jim Lee with the X-Men vs. Magneto and the Acolytes. -X-Factor #92, X-Force #25, Uncanny X-Men #304, X-Men (Vol. 2) #25, Wolverine #75, Excalibur #71: The Fatal Attractions crossover (collected in a trade paperback by the same name), cigar-chomping fellow known for being the best there is at what he does). -Magneto Rex #1-3: Magneto as the ruler of the mutant country of Genosha. -Uncanny X-Men #269, 274-275 (collected in the X-Men Visionaries: Jim Lee trade paperback): Magneto and Rogue fight for their lives in the Savage Land. Magneto establishes himself as someone not to be trifled with. Most of the trade paperbacks and the individual issues of Fatal Attractions, Magneto Rex, and X-Men Classic can all be affordably found on Amazon by searching for the titles (and the issue numbers in the case of the X-Men Classic issues).4. I have a comic book collection that I would like to sell. What is the best way to sell it?Unless it's really valuable (and perhaps even so) the best way is an auction site, like ebay. If it's a big enough collection and you thought it was worth the money you could set up a table and a comic show, but that's sort of a big investment of money and time... The other way is to try to sell it to a comic store, but as they are out to make money as well, it's far less likely you will get your money's worth that route. So I would reccomend an auction site, just make sure that you check sources (Wizard, etc) to see how much your comics are worth so you sell them for the right price!5. What does your book collection look like?My mom bought me two large bookcases so I could have a place to put my novels. I have: Edgar Allen Poe (Complete Collection of Stories and Poems) The History of Adolf Hitler The Holocaust History German Translation Books Ancient Egypt History Collection History of Vampires (not twilight. YUCK) History of Ireland Gone with the Wind History of Edgar Allen Poe History of the Romans Book of the Dead History Ancient Egyptians Book of the dead 'with translations' Death Note (entire series) World War I World War II World's Most Haunted --- and my own novels. =) I have so many books on Egypt and the Holocaust. =) My favorite genres are Horror and Fantasy but my collection is far from complete
